Don’t Panic: The Story of 42 & Co.
With over 25 years in healthcare billing and more than a decade in provider credentialing, we’ve seen how complex—and unnecessarily confusing—the business side of care can be. 42 & Co. Consulting was created to bring clarity to that process and give providers the tools, knowledge, and confidence to navigate it well.
Formerly known as MHC Wichita, 42 & Co. Consulting grew from years of hands-on billing work into a trusted partner for healthcare and mental-health providers who need more than surface-level support.
We work with new and established providers alike — guiding them through credentialing, re-credentialing, CAQH attestations, payer contracting, EMR setup, ERAs, EFTs, and the not-so-fun parts of collecting copays and claims. We translate the jargon, untangle the process, and make the administrative side of care a little less exhausting.
As for the name — “42” is a nod to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. In the story, it’s the answer to life, the universe, and everything. For us, it’s the answer to paperwork, payer chaos, and all the little things that drive providers to the edge. It’s a reminder that even in the most complicated moments, there’s structure, logic, and a way through.
